Abandoned Silk Mill Experimentation Exhibition 2015
Responding to the rustic qualities of an abandoned silk mill as well as combining the exhibition space with my field of research has lead me to create a sculptural painting which combines with the mounds of 'debris' lying around - though in it's own surreal yet comical way. I find the delicacy and inviting nature of the piece compared to the filthy, deteriorating and wet atmosphere particularly intriguing, as the work seems to 'belong' under the strangest of circumstances. The impulse to understand and discover was clear through the curiosity of viewers, perhaps an affect of the alien misplaced objects glowing in the natural sunlight.

Sculptural Painting Installation
Moving onto explore the expanded field of painting, I have looked into creating sculptural paintings which are both interactive and sensually explorable. After being both frustrated and fascinated with the 'taboo' of touching artworks in galleries, I am working to give the viewers a full body alien experience which they can make sense of with their unique physical senses. The total exploration of the works is both playful and enlightening, opening a wider range of human understanding within a gallery.
